G-SHOCK rejoins fashion label MADNESS for the duo's second collaboration to release a limited-edition model – GLX-5600MAD19-1.
Tapping on the theme of surfing from MADNESS, the watch will take on the extreme sports line of watches, G-LIDE designed for surfers. This series has been known as one of the favourite choices among the world’s top extreme sports athletes and has been constantly supporting world pro surfers and extreme sports athletes.
Based on the classic DW-5600 model, the watch has adopted MADNESS’s minimalist design from the packaging to the watch, while taking inspiration from summer, beach and surfing to create a simple yet cool watch that fits perfectly on the wrist. The watch dial also features a tide graph found only in the G-LIDE series, an indispensable tool for surfers.
The bezel and watch strap use grey as the base colour, accompanied by a neon orange finish with the word ‘MADNESS’ inscribed at the bottom centre. The newly designed back case comes with the word ‘MADNESS’ engraved on it, exuding the minimalist aesthetic of the brand. Overall, the watch is equipped with G-SHOCK’s shock-resistant structure, for sturdiness against knocks and shocks.
