To celebrate G-SHOCK’s 30th anniversary in 2013, G-SHOCK partnered with globally renowned headwear manufacturer New Era. The limited-edition model, GA-110NE-9A also celebrates the deep heritage of performance synonymous with these iconic brands.
New Era has been manufacturing quality headwear since 1920, and is the exclusive manufacturer and marketer of the official on-field cap worn by every Major League Baseball team in the United States, which have been worn by iconic athletes, artists and celebrities alike.
Through its authenticity, New Era has become a contemporary signature of style among the street-fashion set, and it has been involved in previous collaborations with famed brands. This second New Era collaboration with G-SHOCK exemplifies the long-standing performance ethos and athlete following of both heritage brands: 30 years for G-SHOCK and more than 90 years for New Era.
Based on the hot-selling GA-110 analog/digital model, the New Era GA-110NE-9A pairs a resin watch band in G-SHOCK classic black with a gold speckled watch case and band corresponding to the iconic black-and-gold sizing sticker of New Era's classic 59Fifty cap.
The bold watch features a black and gold color scheme inspired by the color of the size sticker on New Era’s caps. The hybrid digital-analog watch features a black LED screen in the middle with a gold inner bezel and the watch band is a semi-gloss black.
With functionality and durability in mind, this shock and water-resistant watch also sports the magnetic resist technology of G-SHOCK. To commemorate this significant collaboration, the watch's collectable packaging has been designed in the form of a New Era cap.
